Rick Slater started Waverly Fine Arts in 2015 after years as an Exhibitions Manager and Art Handler in the New York City art world, including Christie’s auction house and RH contemporary. From each position, he has accumulated a vast knowledge of different media– be it photographs, prints, paintings, ceramics and technological art– and is comfortable with their handling and installation. Rick earned his Master’s degree in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management at George Eastman House and Ryerson University in Toronto where he specialized in photographic history of the 1960s. His love of art comes through in his handling of vernacular photography or the kinetic art of Random International.
